Daniel Boulud's blurb on the back of the dust jacket hits upon the primary value of the book. They don't need absolute assurance, because they realize life doesn't provide any. The material is varied and gives some background to the history of the author's family and his antecedents woven in with South African history. An important book for anyone interested in the legal theories surrounding freedom and coercion in America in the 21st Century as understood by looking at the 20th and 19th century cases and Justices who dominated the Court's history. This one caught our eye since it was just recently updated in 2016 and also contained multiple lists that other books did not.

" Our aim is to provide support for and to raise awareness of the critical work these organizations are undertaking. I would not read this book to young children, maybe 10. And while it was only somewhat useful to my topic it was by far the most engaging and informative text I have read on slavery and Christianity. For a series that started off incredibly well and then gradually started to fall apart, I can't say I'm disappointed with the ending, as it ended far better than I could have hoped.
