It's based on many of her seminars and talks one of which I was able to attend. Since the books were written long before computer games and such, I have found that kids respond more to the stories as they are about real world adventurous like trips to the country, to trips to another city, visiting a farm, or on a boat, things that open the eyes of youngsters, to a REAL world, not the virtual world of TVs or computers.
