Again, I understand why the authors wrote the plot this way, it fits with the whole dystopian atmosphere that the story takes place in. The author's sense of humor and light heartedness, even when speaking about serious subjects came through. physically, I was in tears, yet felt the pride of a Southern woman not only in the 1800's but today.
